Ht3 Redfish Television Coverage

 Filming the Series

film_insideWhen The Series kicks off it’s Florida division, April 18-19 in the Punta Gorda/Englewood area there will be a bonus for the anglers competing.  This kick off event will be filmed and televised on Sun Sports Network.

As was the case in late 2007, Captain Alex Suescun will bring his film crew, compete in the event and broadcast the show in it’s entirety on Sun Sport Network television.

“I think the HT3 Redfish Series is  going to be a big hit and after fishing with HT3 in Lafitte in 2007 I feel confident anglers will not fish a more professional operated and promoted event for this low of entry fees, anywhere”.  Alex
The first 3 events of the Florida division will be shot and shown as well their are plans in the works to shoot and televise the championship event at year’s end.  This championship show will be the first event shown under HT3’s new Redfish Series TV show and will kick off the 2010 telev581ision broadcast of the events in that year.

If the scheduling can work out, we are hoping to have Alex and his crew for some of the Louisiana division events as well.  The Redfish Cup kicks off in April and Alex will be busy competing in that series but promises that if at all possible he’ll be driving to Louisiana as well to cover and compete in that action as well.

Each time HT3 has been on TV it has been with the help and direction of Alex and we look forward to that continuing even after HT3’s own TV show hit’s the airways in late 2009 or early 2010.  Alex will continue to film and edit and give the creative direction for The Series as HT3 brings it to the viewers around the country.

For those anglers out of the immediate region of Sun Sports Networks, we will make DVD’s of the show available and as well broadcast them over the internet at HT3 Redfish dot com.  Hopefully, live streaming weigh ins will as well take place this season as we try to add to the promotion of the tour and it’s anglers.

A special thanks to Alex and his entire staff for their offer to jump on board and help HT3 continue to produce professional redfish events.  Please visit www.tarponbaytales.com and www.sunsportstv.com.

Ht3 Outdoors Article

Frontliblake_qkaa2ne Plus Pro Blake Champion:
What an exciting time to be involved in the sport of professional  redfishing. Competitive redfishing, as an organized sport, is a relatively young entity as compared to it’s freshwater counterpart. But, in that short history, tournament redfishing has grown and developed at an astonishing rate. This growth and success is owed, in large part, to the forward thinking of organizations like the Inshore Fishing Association, Oboy Oberto Redfish cup, and FLW outdoors. These organizations have supplied the template for redfishing’s rapid growth and positive change, through the passion and drive of the anglers that have made the sport what it is today. We all now enjoy highly competitive fields, increases in payouts and incentives, and increasing television exposure thanks to the dedication, and commitment of men and women that we fish along side today. There is no need to mention names, we all know who they are, and for all of us who have followed behind we are grateful for their efforts.

Where is professional redfishing going from here? It seems to me that things will only continue to grow and prosper. The IFA and Redfish Cup continue to improve on an already effective system. A steady stream of new aspiring anglers are entering the sport, and now the new Ht3 Pro’s Choice Redfish Tour with it’s unique and exciting plan has emerged to join the game. The future of our sport does indeed look bright!

The Ht3 professional redfish tour promises to bring an innovative format, aggressive professional promotion, and most importantly an unparalleled  energy and enthusiasm to every event in 2009. How will Ht3 be able to compete in the existing landscape of pro redfishing? Well, the answer is simple. There is no need to compete. Ht3 simply offers us something different. The difference is a new format and concept that, in my humble opinion, will enhance and complement redfish competition and help to grow the sport as a whole. When a new redfish tour or innovative idea pertaining to redfish tournaments succeeds we all benefit from that success. Without continued interest and forward positive gains any sport will slowly and sometimes even quickly fade away.

One of the most promising qualities of Ht3 Outdoors can not be found on it’s website, nor will it be announced at it’s tournament venues. That unspoken quality is Ht3’s willingness to listen, and to allow input and insight for positive change to come from the most important source, that source being the anglers that line up to compete. By allowing anglers to give both positive and negative feedback helps direct changes that may improve the tour and eventually the sport as a whole. I am sure the Ht3 redfish tour will offer everything we expect in a professional tournament and more.

We will talk more about the specifics of Ht3’s new format and the benefits it will offer as the 2009 season approaches. Until then, the best of luck to everyone in the 2009 season,  may we all get on a huge school of scuds!
